Issa Resort

by @zeedavid

Brief

Create brand imagery in alignment with the concept of “rememorable” showcasing the four main statements of the brand:

  • CHARMED by nature

  • INSPIRED by beauty

  • REVIVED by comfort

  • SUCCESSFUL by choice

Deliverables

The shoot will be split into 2 main categories:

  • fine art photography showcasing the equestrian elements of the resort

  • architecture photography (interiors)

part 1 - Fine art

These images will be printed and mounted in the resort guest rooms and amenity areas, creating an atmosphere on par with equestrian symbols: elegance, grace, luxury and power.

The images will be shot in black and white with natural/available light. This will create a timeless feel aligned with our initial goal. Candid, in the moment, unplanned and unguarded, I will be using a reportage approach. Variety is key here: I will be playing with movement, details and staged elements to create a complete story based on the symbolistic aforementioned.

part 2 - interiors

The goal is to create imagery for catalogs/brochures/mailers. The images will describe the resort grounds, amenities and rooms a guest is expected to come into contact with. The images will be shot in an editorial/fashion style with the help of one or two models. The emphasis will be on the location, the models will be used to convey a human element. The idea behind keeping the models in a secondary role is so the viewer can find it easier to imagine themselves in the model’s position. We might see only a hand or a silhouette, or a pair of discarded shoes making the viewer think of the place as “with life”.

For this I will use natural light/available light as much as possible to portray the location as realistically as possible. I might use some flash in case we want to accentuate certain key elements. The shots will be wide in order to portray the grandeur of the location.

part 3 (optional) - videos

I’m thinking about two options here. The first one is more '“matter of fact” and aligned with the interior shoot. The second one is more etherial, playing more within a conceptual realm. Both can be achieved and placed strategically wherever it suits best the client.
